THiNK+ Child Safety Standards

THiNK+ standards for preventing and responding to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Effective date

Last updated
September 13, 2026

Tech Innovators Network (THiNK) ("THiNK", "we", "us", or "our") operates THiNK+ and is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone who uses our services.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and prohibit the use of THiNK+ to create, upload, store, share, solicit, facilitate, promote, or otherwise engage with child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or other conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children.

These standards apply to THiNK+, its community features, THiNK+ Apps, and user-generated content and interactions made available through the service.

1. Child sexual abuse and exploitation

THiNK+ prohibits any content, communication, or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
  • Grooming or attempting to establish a relationship with a child for sexual exploitation or abuse.
  • Sexual solicitation of children.
  • Sextortion involving a child.
  • Trafficking or facilitating the trafficking of children for sexual purposes.
  • Sharing, requesting, offering, promoting, or directing others to CSAM.
  • Sexualizing children or encouraging the sexual exploitation or abuse of children.
  • Using THiNK+ to facilitate, coordinate, encourage, or normalize child sexual abuse or exploitation.

For purposes of these standards, CSAE includes conduct or content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children, including grooming, sextortion, and child sex trafficking.

2. Child sexual abuse material

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is strictly prohibited on THiNK+.

CSAM includes visual depictions, including photos, videos, and computer-generated imagery, involving a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Users must not use THiNK+ to:

  • Create, upload, or distribute CSAM.
  • Request or solicit CSAM.
  • Store CSAM.
  • Link to or direct users toward CSAM.
  • Offer to exchange, buy, or sell CSAM.
  • Encourage or facilitate the creation or distribution of CSAM.

When we become aware of suspected CSAM, we will take appropriate action consistent with these standards and applicable law. This may include removing or restricting access to the material, restricting the responsible account, preserving relevant information, and making reports required by applicable law.

3. Grooming and inappropriate interactions with children

THiNK+ must not be used to establish or develop a relationship with a child for the purpose of sexual exploitation, abuse, or other sexual misconduct.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Soliciting sexual content from a child.
  • Attempting to move a child into private communications for a sexual purpose.
  • Sending sexually explicit content to a child.
  • Encouraging a child to engage in sexual activity.
  • Sexual blackmail or sextortion.
  • Offering money, gifts, incentives, or other benefits in exchange for sexual activity or sexual content involving a child.
  • Using deception, coercion, threats, or manipulation to sexually exploit a child.

4. Reporting child safety concerns

THiNK+ provides mechanisms for users to report content, accounts, interactions, or other activity that may violate these standards.

If you encounter suspected child sexual abuse, exploitation, grooming, CSAM, or another child-safety concern on THiNK+, use the available Report or feedback functionality within THiNK+.

Reports should include enough information for us to identify and assess the relevant content, account, or activity where possible.

You may also contact our designated child-safety contact using the details provided below.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services or law-enforcement authority.

5. How we respond

When THiNK becomes aware of content or activity that may violate these standards, we may investigate and take appropriate action based on the circumstances and applicable law.

Actions may include:

  • Removing or restricting access to content.
  • Suspending or terminating accounts.
  • Restricting access to communication, community, or other features.
  • Investigating related accounts or activity.
  • Taking measures intended to prevent further distribution of prohibited material.
  • Preserving relevant information where required or permitted by law.
  • Reporting apparent CSAM or child exploitation to relevant authorities or designated organizations where required by applicable law.
  • Cooperating with lawful investigations and valid legal requests.

Severe child-safety violations may result in immediate action without prior warning.

6. Compliance with child-safety laws

Tech Innovators Network (THiNK) complies with applicable child-safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where THiNK+ operates.

Our response to suspected CSAE or CSAM may therefore vary according to applicable reporting, preservation, disclosure, and other legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires reports concerning apparent CSAM or child sexual exploitation to an appropriate authority or designated organization, we will make those reports as required.

Nothing in these standards limits our ability to take additional lawful action where reasonably necessary to protect children, our users, or the integrity of THiNK+.

7. THiNK+ Apps and network services

THiNK+ provides access to THiNK+ applications and services.

These Child Safety Standards apply across THiNK+ regardless of which THiNK+ App or supported network service is being used.

Individual Apps, communities, or independently operated THiNK+ Nodes may establish additional safety requirements appropriate to their services. Those requirements supplement these standards and cannot override THiNK+ platform-wide prohibitions against CSAE and CSAM.

Where another organization independently operates an App, community, or THiNK+ Node, it may also have its own legal obligations concerning child safety and the information it controls.

8. Enforcement

Violations of these standards may result in immediate action without prior notice where appropriate.

Depending on the severity and circumstances, enforcement may include:

  • Content removal.
  • Feature restrictions.
  • Restrictions on participation in an App or community.
  • Account suspension.
  • Permanent account termination.
  • Action against related accounts used to evade enforcement.
  • Referral to relevant authorities or designated organizations where appropriate or required by law.

Attempts to evade enforcement, including creating another account following termination for a child-safety violation, may result in further restrictions.

9. Privacy and investigations

We handle reports and related personal information in accordance with the THiNK+ Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may preserve, process, or disclose information where required by law, necessary to respond to valid legal process, or permitted for the investigation and prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Access to information associated with child-safety investigations should be limited to authorized persons and handled according to applicable legal and security requirements.

10. Relationship to other THiNK+ policies

These Child Safety Standards form part of the safety framework governing THiNK+.

Users should also review our:

  • Community Guidelines
  • Terms of Service
  • Privacy Policy

Where another THiNK+ policy permits content or conduct that would violate these Child Safety Standards, these Child Safety Standards take precedence with respect to child safety.

11. Child safety contact

Questions or reports concerning THiNK+ child-safety practices may be directed to our designated child-safety contact:

Tech Innovators Network (THiNK)

Email: child-safety@think.ke

For general support or matters unrelated to child safety, contact support@think.ke.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services or law-enforcement authority.

12. Updates to these standards

We may update these Child Safety Standards as THiNK+, our safety practices, or applicable legal requirements evolve.

Material updates will be reflected on this page together with an updated revision date.
